Get into teaching

Ever Thought of Becoming a Teacher?

Christ the King College is a member of the Catholic Teaching Alliance (CTA). The CTA is a cross phase Teaching School of Catholic primary schools, secondary schools, academies and sixth form colleges. As a Teaching School we recruit and train our own teachers as well as providing teaching practice for university trained PGCE students.

Our partner schools are based throughout South-East London and into Kent. This diversity in type of school and location gives a richness to the shared work of the alliance.

CTA trainee teachers can expect high quality teaching and training programmes, with exceptional academic support delivered by some of the best training universities.

As part of its vision to shape and articulate model approaches to teaching and learning at each key stage from 5 -18, the CTA considers its alumni to be potentially well suited to become CTA teachers of the future.

If you are a graduate alumnus of Christ the King College or a graduate alumnus of a Catholic primary or secondary school in South East London and you are interested in getting into teaching the CTA can:

• Provide information on getting into teaching through the CTA
• Consider you for a work shadowing placement
• Consider you for a Schools Direct Training place
